Roughriders take down the Atlanta Furious 82-14 on Sat 5.20

 May 26, 2017

The Richmond Roughriders dismantle the Atlanta Furious this past Saturday (5.20) at the Richmond Coliseum winning 82-14. Richmond was running two Quarterbacks in this game due to recent knee injury to starting quarter back Jimmy Laughrea.

Quarterback Mike Wilson #12 played the duration of the first half going 9/15, 164 yards, 4 touchdowns and an interception. Taking over in the second half was QB #6 Shawheem Dowdy finishing the game going 8/12, 82 Yards, 3 Touchdowns, and one interception as the Roughriders.

With the Richmond Roughriders battling to stay perfect this season and with a Championship looming on June 10th, they will need one of their two new quarterbacks to help carry the load heading into the championship game.

Another standout in this interleague competition was WR Kevin Fuller who caught 10 passes with 4 Touchdowns and finishing with 166 yards. Kevin was recently picked up from the Columbus lions before the Florida Tarpons game on 5/6/17.

The Richmond Roughriders will take on the undefeated Triangle Torch this Saturday 5.27 as the Richmond Roughriders will be having "Military Appreciation Night" as all active military members and veterans will get in free with ID. The Torch are also having a perfect season as they will be going into their own respective championship game in June.

Tickets for all games are available at the Richmond Coliseum Box office from Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and on ALL Game Days starting at 3pm!
